One of the main reasons people don’t come to a given museum is because they just don’t know it’s there! That’s why online advertising is so important.
Google Ads is exponentially effective in gaining this online exposure in the digital age because of its use of keywords. When a person searches terms like “what to do today,” “fun things near me,” “family activities in my area,” etc. the ad for your museum pops up at the very top of their search.
Even if they don’t click on the ad, they have the name of your museum in their head. It’s the simple magic of marketing exposure, or the mere exposure effect, as psychology calls it. The more times a person sees your ad, the more likely they are to click on it or remember it later on when they are trying to decide what to do with their day. (What to learn more about Google Ads? Only for when a person actually clicks on the link, and even then, that comes out of the $10,000 Google is giving you every month.
